My research traces Bombardier Thomas Whelan from his birth in Abbeyside, Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland on the 1st January 1894 through his career in the Royal Field Artillery in the First World War.

Gunner Patrick Kearns
Traces Gunner Patrick Kearns - Late The Royal Artillery from his birth in Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland in 1876 through his career in The Royal Garrison Artillery in the Boer War.

Private Michael Whelan
Traces Private Michael Whelan - The Connaught Rangers from his birth in Ballyvaughan Workhouse, Co Clare, Ireland in 1891 through his career in the 2nd Battalion The Connaught Rangers till his death at The First Battle of Ypres on the 19th October 1914.

Corporal John Binnie
Research done on Corporal John Binnie Late Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders from his enlistment on 22nd Sept 1909 to his death on the 18th Aug 1916 when he was Killed in Action at High Wood on Ancre Heights on the Somme.

Private James Brown
The military record of 3038 Private James Brown Late The Leinster Regiment from his enlistment in Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland. After his 13 Years and 329 day service he returned to his wife and new home at Chapel Street, Maryborough, Queens County, with his war bounty of £15.

Private James Laird Mitchell
The military career of Private James Laird Mitchell Late 5th Infantry Cyclist Battalion Australian Imperial Force from his enlistment at Geelong Nr. Melbourne Victoria to his death at Bernafay Wood on the 20th Dec 1916.

Private John Dunne

Private John Ellison
Serving with the 42nd Foot Regiment (The Black Watch), Private John Ellison saw service in India and in Western Africa during the Second Ashantee War.
